The aim of this webinar is to enable frontline practitioners to recognise and respond safely to domestic abuse when working remotely during the Covid-19 pandemic.
The content includes:
o Has DA increased during the Covid-19 pandemic?
o How are perpetrators of DA using the current situation to further their abuse?
o What are the additional barriers to disclosure and seeking support for victim / survivors of DA?
When working remotely:
o What are the signs and indicators that someone might be being abused?
o How can we respond safely and offer support?
o What support services and initiatives are currently available for survivors, perpetrators and children?
If you haven’t completed any recent domestic abuse training it is recommended that you complete the Domestic Abuse Awareness E-learning BEFORE you join the webinar, as basic knowledge will be assumed.
